Argentine transgender TV presenter fights media ridicule

In Argentina, popular TV presenter Florencia Trinidad, one of the first transgender women to benefit from a recent law allowing ID cards to match a person's gender, is fighting back after facing media ridicule. She made a powerful video in which she discusses just how painful it is to be made fun of because of your gender identity. Trinidad describes the shock of watching the television show in question with her family. Trinidad and her husband have two young kids. The group Federacion Argentina de lesbianas, gays, bisexuales y trans (FALGBT) has called out media for airing transphobic and disrespectful comments.
