More than 1,500 New Yorkers gathered today in Manhattan to mourn the death of a 32 year-old gay man, who was shot down on Friday just blocks away from the historic Stonewall Inn in an apparent act of anti-gay bias.

Archie Comics writer/artist Dan Parent will participate in the “Ask Me Anything” forum today, March 19th at 2 pm on Reddit’s website. Hosted by GLAAD and social video network #Waywire, the online chat comes on the heels of Parent’s third consecutive GLAAD Media Award nomination. He is nominated for Outstanding Comic Book for Archie Comics’ Kevin Keller series.
Through the forum, talent can solicit questions from Reddit’s plethora of users. Past participants include President Barack Obama and Bill Gates. #Waywire will produce video responses of certain questions, which will be posted on waywire.com and reddit.com.
The character of Kevin Keller was introduced in the Veronica series in September 2010, had a miniseries in summer 2011 and became the central figure in his own ongoing series in February 2012.
The GLAAD Media Awards are presented in three different cities. The event in New York City took place this past Saturday. The GLAAD Media Awards will also be presented in Los Angeles on April 20th and San Francisco on May 11th.
Marriage Equality at the Supreme Court
