Advocate Peter Staley's "Gay-on-Gay Shaming: The New HIV War" was published in The Huffington Post on Friday. In it, the founder of the Treatment Action Group (TAG) reflects on how the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS has changed over the years. He cites, specifically, the contemporary phenomenon of stigma on the rise within the gay community.
Today officially marks the kick-off of Bisexual Health Awareness Month, brought to you by the Bisexual Resource Center (BRC). This year's theme, "Bi the Way, Our Health Matters Too!", will address disparities in physical and mental health facing the bisexual community. Created by the US' oldest nationally-focused bi organization, Bisexual Health Awareness Month is the first social media campaign to address this topic.
This Sunday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will attend the 15th annual St. Pat's For All Parade, an LGBT-inclusive event that stands in opposition to the City's largest St. Patrick's Day Parade, which does not allow LGBT groups to participate.
