Celebrations were held across the country marking the end to this discriminatory, anti-LGBT law. The media covered this significant milestone with touching, personal stories – such as an active duty member of the military getting married at midnight in Vermont and a soldier who called his father from overseas to come out to him. These stories highlighted the voices of the men and women impacted by this discrimination.
