The site guanabee.com recently published a post that included the line “Eva Longoria confronts a bitchy queen who fags out on her.” GLAAD reached out to publisher Daniel Mauser and explained how words and sentiments like these are used to bully LGBT youth in schools and how often these words accompany anti-gay violence.

Stand Up for Our Service Members

This week America and the LGBT community applauded the end of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' with its full repeal going into effect on September 20, 2011.  Celebrations were held across the country marking the end to this discriminatory, anti-LGBT law.  The media covered this significant milestone with touching, personal stories – such as an active duty member of the military getting married at midnight in Vermont and a soldier who called his father from overseas to come out to him.  These stories highlighted the voices of the men and women impacted by this discrimination.
