Since first joining in 2007, Matt Kane has become GLAAD's liaison to the entertainment industry, advocating for the inclusion of diverse LGBT stories in television programming, films, and other entertainment platforms. He acts as a resource to creators and journalists alike on issues of LGBT representation, and helps shape GLAAD’s response to acts of anti-LGBT defamation in entertainment media. He and his team also produce GLAAD's annual entertainment reports, including the Studio Responsibility Index, Network Responsibility Index, and Where We Are on TV. He holds an M.F.A. in film studies from Boston University.
