Abdool Corlette is an award-winning filmmaker based in New York City. He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts' Film Program with a concentration in Screenwriting & Directing. Abdool has spent over ten years working on commercial, narrative and documentary projects. He is passionate about showcasing the stories of underrepresented communities in film and television. Before joining GLAAD, Abdool worked in the film department at Sprout, a disability advocacy organization dedicated to raising awareness about people with special needs. He was also a member of the Feature Programming department at Tribeca Film Institute. As the Video Production Manager, Abdool’s goal is to advocate for LGBTQ individuals by using video as a tool for social change.
Abdool is also the creator of “Other Boys NYC,” a documentary series that explores the lives of 50 queer and transgender men of color in New York City.
