John Stephens (Los Angeles) (February 2010 - Present)

John Stephens is a partner at Sedgwick LLP based in the firm's Los Angeles office. John focuses his practice on media and entertainment litigation, intellectual property licensing and transactions, film financing issues and specialty insurance coverage and litigation. He handles matters for a diverse client base including entertainment and media clients include media entities, magazines, television and radio stations, production companies, entertainment technology companies, computer technologies, online content and software providers, and talent. Additionally, John represents clients in the manufacturing, financial, and insurance industries.

John is an active member of the American Bar Association where is currently the Chair of the Diversity Committee.  He was former Chair of the ABA TIPS Law Committee on Intellectual Property, He is a participant and judge for the Constitutional Rights Foundation and active in Lawyers for Human Rights.  John is actively involved in Sedgwick’s internal committees, including chair of the Los Angeles Diversity Committee and a member of the Trial Advocacy Committee.  John received his B.S. Rutgers University in 1990 and his J.D. Rutgers University Law School in 1995.
