A New York native, Amy earned an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in liberal arts from the University of Connecticut. She is a fanatical UConn Huskies fan where she was a student athlete. She and her partner live in San Francisco with their daughter, Madison Reed.
Amy’s career has spanned the investment, consumer goods, and nonprofit humanitarian worlds, including leadership roles as General Partner at venture capital firm Maveron, Chief Asset Gathering Officer at E*Trade, and chair of the board of Glide Foundation as well a board member of the UCONN foundation and Common Sense Media. Among Amy's citations is the Israel Fellows Award, presented by the San Francisco–based Jewish Community Federation and an active member of YPO. She is currently the founder and CEO of Madison Reed (named after her daughter), a fast growing hair color brand known for superior expert service, leading technologies, and luxurious hair color and hair care formulas free from Ammonia, PPD, resorcinol, parabens, phthalates, titanium dioxide, and gluten and enriched with keratin, ginseng root extract, and argan, baobab, and mongongo oils.
