Argentine Ad Vividly Demonstrates Need for New Transgender Law
Argentine transgender equality advocates have created a video that vividly demonstrates why it’s so difficult to live daily life with IDs and other legal documents that do not accurately reflect your gender identity. The ad uses a diverse group of people to express the idea that acceptance is an important value to be embraced by everyone.
The “gender identity” law which would allow transgender Argentines to apply for government documents that match their expressed gender was proposed in 2007.
