Congratulations on your upcoming marriage in the great state of New York!

As you know by now, Sunday, July 24 will be the first day that loving and committed same-sex couples can get married in New York State!  It will be an historic day for the Empire State, the nation and the movement for full equality.  Local and national media outlets are planning to capture all the excitement, so this presents couples with an incredible opportunity to share their stories of love and commitment!

If you and your loved one plan to wed on July 24 or later this year and are open to sharing your love story/wedding plans with the media, GLAAD really wants to hear from you! Please take a few minutes to answer the applicable questions via the link below, and we’ll be in touch with you as media opportunities present themselves. The more information you’re able to provide us with the better!

**To share your love story & wedding plans with GLAAD, go to: www.glaad.org/ny4m/couples.**

Thanks in advance for your willingness to speak with the media about your relationship and for taking the time to complete our questionnaire.  By speaking with the media about the love and commitment you share with your significant other, you help to promote understanding, increase acceptance and advance equality.  We couldn't do our work without you!

We will certainly be in touch if we receive media requests for which you and your significant other would be appropriate.  In the meantime, please be sure to share your great news with family, friends and your local newspaper – for it is in sharing the most significant moments of our lives that we underscore our commonly-held values with the communities of which we are a part.

With every good wish for a wonderful wedding day,

Your friends at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)
