Nevada Governor Considers Transgender-inclusive Non-discrimination Bill

The legislature in Nevada has passed a bill that would protect people based on gender identity and expression from discrimination in the workplace.  The bill is now being considered by Governor Brian Sandoval, a Republican.  It’s unclear what his position on the bill is. In 2009, the legislature passed domestic partnership legislation over the veto of a Republican Governor, but supporters aren't sure whether the legislature would have sufficient numbers to over ride a governor’s veto on the workplace discrimination bill.
