With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, GLAAD invites you share your stories of love and commitment. We plan to highlight some of the submitted stories in an upcoming blog post on February 14. Providing your stories will encourage the media to offer inclusive coverage this Valentine’s Day. More often than not, articles featuring couples expressing their love focus exclusively on the relationships of straight individuals. Typically, LGBT couples of color receive even less attention, though GLAAD applauds Ebony Magazine for recently including a lesbian couple in the publication’s annual Black Love issue. Your stories are important for highlighting the diversity of love and commitment, especially in states where marriage equality is making headlines. Please go to http://www.glaad.org/valentinesdaykit/stories to submit your story about you and your loved one! 1. What makes your relationship special? 2. What’s the best thing about being in a relationship? 3. When did you know that your significant other was the person you wanted to share your life with? You can also share your photos on our Valentine’s Day Flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1576382@N25/. Thanks for your participation! Together we make a difference!
