Celebrities, Media Respond to GLAAD Media Award Nominations
The countdown to the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards began this week with the release of GLAAD’s 2011 nominees!
Now, celebrities and media outlets are celebrating their nominations on Twitter, Facebook and in the news. See who’s talking about the GLAAD Media Awards below:
"For the people in this building, it's almost like getting nominated for an Emmy or an Oscar. It's big news around here. We do pride ourselves on trying to tell really truthful stories."
"Everyone at Planet Green is very proud of our groundbreaking series, "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" and is honored that GLAAD has recognized this program with a nomination for Outstanding Reality Show. The series has been a labor of love for everyone involved and we couldn't be more pleased for our production partners, World of Wonder, Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell, aka, the Fabulous Beekman Boys to be acknowledged for their great work and creating a quality product that has resonated with viewers across the country."
Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, of The Fabulous Beekman Boys, spoke with Radar Online and sent us this statement:
"Our whole farm is beyond thrilled that "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" received a GLAAD nod! But we're a little worried that all this recognition is going complicate contract negotiations with the goats. Luckily Season 2 in is the can already and will premiere - with goats - in March."
