The countdown to the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards began this week with the release of GLAAD’s 2011 nominees!

Now, celebrities and media outlets are celebrating their nominations on Twitter, Facebook and in the news. See who’s talking about the GLAAD Media Awards below:

Stefan Brogren, Degrassi:

"For the people in this building, it's almost like getting nominated for an Emmy or an Oscar. It's big news around here. We do pride ourselves on trying to tell really truthful stories."

Ted Griggs, Vice President and General Manager, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area which aired "Out. The Glenne Burke Story," a nominee in the Outstanding Documentary Category about the first openly gay major league baseball player:

The Fabulous Beekman Boys return for season 2 this year!Planet Green, The Fabulous Beekman Boys, a nominee for Outstanding Reality Program:

Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, of The Fabulous Beekman Boys, spoke with Radar Online and sent us this statement:

"Our whole farm is beyond thrilled that "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" received a GLAAD nod! But we're a little worried that all this recognition is going complicate contract negotiations with the goats. Luckily Season 2 in is the can already and will premiere - with goats - in March."
