LGBT Academy of Recording Artists to Announce 2010 OUTMusic Awards Nominees

LGBT Academy of Recording Artists, the organization supporting LGBT recording artists and performers worldwide is set to announce the nominees for its 2010 OUTMusic Awards. The announcement will be made during a press conference on November 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.   • Outstanding Dance Song
  • Outstanding Folk/Country Song

  • Outstanding Soundtrack
  • Outstanding Chorus
  • Outstanding Spiritual
  • Outstanding Comedy
  • Outstanding International
  • Outstanding Producer
  • Outstanding Songwriter
  • Outstanding Love Song
  • OUTmusic Single of the Year
  • Outstanding OUT Musician
  • OUTmusic Video of the Year
  • OUTmusic Album of the Year

OUTMusic Chairwoman Diedra Meredith will be joined by LA Talk Radio Host Tony Sweet and co-hosts Kim Yarborough and Regina Williams to announce the nominees. The 2010 OUTMusic Awards will take place on World AIDS Day (December 1, 2010) from 8:00PM to 11:00PM at The Town Hall in New York City. Tickets are available for the event.

The press conference will also mark the launch of the foundations’ Sponsor a Young Person Initiative. GLAAD applauds LARA’s efforts to promote LGBT equality through music and the organization’s commitment to denounce artists promoting homophobia in their work.

The LGBT Academy of Recording Artists empowers, honors, celebrates and documents the contributions of openly LGBT recording artists and performers to the music industry.  It has a membership base of over 1,000 recording artists and performers worldwide.
