The Rainbow World Fund, an international relief agency based in the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and friends community, committed $35,000 in relief funds to Haiti after a magnitude 7.1 earthquake devastated the Caribbean nation on Tuesday.
The New York Times reported on Wednesday that thousands are expected to have perished in the quake.
Rainbow World Fund is currently collecting donations from LGBT people across the globe. 100% of donations go to providing emergency food, safe water, plastic for shelter, blankets and basic medicines for victims of the earthquake.
