What to Watch: Thursday
It's a big night of season premieres! First up is Bones, featuring a guest appearance from Cyndi Lauper, followed by The Office in which Andy may be questioning his sexual orientation, and Saturday Night Live Weekend Update with Amy Poehler returning as co-anchor.

8:00 pm Bones, FOX (1 hr) SEASON PREMIERE
In the season five opener, bisexual Angela gets news from her psychic, played by Cyndi Lauper, that there are bodies buried under a fountain in Washington D.C. Plus Brennan’s back and ready to work, as is Booth after a six week hiatus due to his brain surgery.
9:00 pm The Office, NBC (30 min) SEASON PREMIERE
It may seem business as usual at Dunder-Mifflin as the sixth season begins with the office gossiping about the summer interns and Michael feeling left out, but what is this? Andy is struggling with some new feelings for guys? I guess Oscar will have to help him sort them out. Oh, and Pam's pregnancy causes quite a stir.
8:00 pm Saturday Night Live Weekend Update, NBC (30 min) SERIES PREMIERE
Once just a segment during SNL, Weekend Update is now its own show and, as always, a comedic look at LGBT issues often factor into the fun. Amy Poehler will kick off the season premiere resuming her role as co-anchor for this first episode.
8:00 pm The Vampire Diaries, The CW (1 hr ) NEW
What drama will be in store for the young heartthrobs in this new series, created by out writer/producer Kevin Williamson? Vicki wakes up in the hospital and Stefan tries to stop her from remembering what really happened. Plus Elena meets Damon and learns surprising things about Stefan’s past while Jeremy struggles with his feelings for Vicki.
10:00 pm Project Runway, Lifetime (1 hr) NEW
While the packaging may be a little different it’s still essentially the same fierce show, but the action has moved to LA and a few other twists are likely in store. As always, there are a slew of openly gay contestants. Who will stay and who will hear Heidi bid them auf wiedersehen?
