The Gay TV Season Has Begun!
Tonight marks the start of the best time of year: the new TV season! First up, The CW welcomes back the hottest apartment complex in West Hollywood with the series premiere of the new and shiny Melrose Place on The CW. No doubt bisexual bad girl Ella Simms, played by Katie Cassidy, and her gay boss Caleb
will be stirring up lots of drama. Also tonight on The CW, look for Rumer Willis to pop us as the lesbian editor of the school paper on 90210.
Wednesday marks the return of the fierce Ms. Tyra Banks and a whole new crop of model hopefuls in the 13th season of American’s Next Top Model (The CW). Amongst this season’s contestants is the rock 'n roll bad ass lesbian, Lulu, who is going to blow the catwalk away! Plus the series everyone has been waiting for, Glee (Fox), airs its first all new episode since the pilot aired in May. Can't wait to see what gay Glee Club member Kurt Hummel has in store for us this season. Not enough musical TV for you? Well So You Think You Can Dance (Fox) is also back, gay judge Adam Shankman and all, with its first ever fall edition.
The rest of the month brings back more fabulous faves like Gossip Girl (The CW) on Monday, September 14 with an upcoming and highly publicized same-sex smooch for Chuck Bass. SyFy premieres its new series Stargate: Universe on Friday, October 2 with sexy Ming Na playing lesbian Camille Wray. On November 7, premiere season ends with a bang as out comedian Wanda Sykes premieres her self-titled talk show on Fox, a landmark event since this is the first time an openly gay African American woman has fronted her own late-night show.
