The British pop boy band group Boyzone has just released a video entitled "Better." The love ballad includes several couples throughout the video, but one of the couples is made up of two men, making this the first boy band to feature a gay couple onscreen.

Though all the Boyzone members are paired with women for the video, singer Stephen Gately, who came out in 1999, teams up with a male actor for the romantic scenes.

He told BBC Newsbeat: "I came out in 1999 and it was a big issue at the time and I don't think I could have done this video without having a guy in the video. I think it's important for me to be true to myself."
