More than 1,500 New Yorkers gathered today in Manhattan to mourn the death of a 32 year-old gay man, who was shot down on Friday just blocks away from the historic Stonewall Inn in an apparent act of anti-gay bias.
GLAAD’s Director of Entertainment Got Hitched!
Well, folks, they’ve made it official: GLAAD’s Director of Entertainment Media, Damon Romine, has married his partner of nine years, Charles Robbins, who is the Executive Director of The Trevor Project. What a power couple!
The two shared their big day in a very special double ceremony in Palm Springs with Damon’s father, David, who married his partner of 16 years, Larry Barrett (far right). This is believed to be the first double wedding ceremony in California shared by a father and son since marriage equality took effect in June.
Damon and Charles (far left) had their wedding announcement featured in the New York Times Weddings/Celebrations section on Sunday. They are just one of many couples in California who have shared their stories and talked about their lives, announcing their equality.
Congratulations to Damon, Charles, David and Larry! This will be a day you will cherish the rest of your lives!
