It’s been a challenge to watch anything but the Olympics. If you’re like me you’ve stayed up well past your normal bed time to watch “just one more event.” Since my last post on cineQueer, the Federation of Gay Games announced that there are now 11 openly LGBT athletes competing in Beijing. Those not identified in the previous post are Linda Bresonik (Germany, soccer), Rennae Stubbs (Australia, tennis) and Victoria Svensson(Sweden, soccer). Plus, we have some amazing American athletes to cheer on as well!Vicky Galindo and Lauren Lappin are both on the softball team that is dominating opponents. And Natasha Kai is helping the women’s soccer team advance much further than many pundits thought they’d go.

You can catch Kai and the U.S. women’s soccer team take on Canada tomorrow in a quarterfinal battle. You’ll also find Linda Bresonik’s German soccer team take on Victoria Svensson’s Swedish team tomorrow as well. Check out NBC’s soccer page for viewing information.
